  1. What's on the Bookshelf

    Monday, June 7, 2010

In My Mailbox is a weekly meme hosted by Kristi at The Story Siren. Go here to find out more.

The Last Witchfinder by James Morrow
Not a big book week for me but this one caught my eye when I was shelving at work. Set in 1688, The Last Witchfinder promises a "showdown between old superstition and new science."

The cover also is part of what caught my eye with the quirky concept of the book details being worked into the image by having them on the book pictured on the cover.

    1. This is a new one for me too. I hope you enjoy this read. Hope you are feeling better too. I haven't been around the blogosphere the last few weeks with being sick. So just was hoping you feel better as well. :)

I'm sorry to hear that you have been sick, Melissa. My back is much better now. My hand is decidedly not, unfortunately, and it looks more and more like I am going to need to spend money on going to the physiotherapist to get a brace fitted. Then about an hour ago ago I had a bad fall on the tiles and now just about everything hurts. If I am not the clumsiest person in the world then I must be close to it. D=

    3. Oh Terra, sorry to hear about your hand. I hope it gets better for you. A brace may help though. Maybe I shouldn't have asked how you where, and maybe you wouldn't have fallen. I do hope you feel better though. And glad to hear your back is feeling better, although it probably hurts again now with the fall. Try to take it easy. :)

I have some nasty bruises on my leg from the fall but they will heal. Yesterday I went and got a brace for my hand. Now if I can just get through a week or so without falling over, walking into furniture, colliding with walls, or getting hit with projectile objects then I am sure I'll be fine in no time. That's a pretty big if when it comes to me though. :)

    5. Glad to hear you got your hand brace. I hope it helps. :) I hope you do well with walking. I know the feeling though... I fall going up the steps along with down, and those walls always are jumping in front of me. Oh, and the cat... he needs to stay away from my feet as I have enough troubles maneuvering them without him under them.
