  1. Teaser Tuesdays

    Tuesday, March 2, 2010

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
    • Grab your current read
    • Open to a random page
    • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
    • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
    • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
He pulled the tarp about them and he lay awake a long time listening. If they got wet there'd be no fires to dry by. If they got wet they would probably die.

From page 14 of The Road by Cormac McCarthy. I have only just started but so far so good.

I finally stopped ogling Viggo on the front cover and cracked the spine on this one. I have only just started but it seems so far so good.

I can see why you might want to just keep looking at the cover.

I've been too scared to even think about seeing the movie, though I might just buy the book so I too could sit around and ogle Viggo.

      Great teaser.

    12. This always sounds so bleak, I'm afraid to pick it up. I must admit that Viggo makes it very tempting...

    13. I'm just going to ditto what Jennifer G. wrote (above). Great teaser!

Great teaser. This novel has such an interesting premise. I may get around to reading it one of these days. Especially if I like the movie.

Here is my teaser if you are interested.

    21. Great teaser! I have this book on my Read Soon pile.

Why stop ogling Viggo? I do it all the time. Do you have any of his books? He's not just delicious but smart too! That makes the ogling actually educational.

My teaser: "This python wraps around a rat and squeezes tight. Sssqueeze!" Oops. My book at hand was my 3 year old's book. Snakes. Here's a spoiler: the rat doesn't appear again!

    23. This is a great teaser. I have heard many great things of this book. I hope you enjoy it.
