  1. Teaser Tuesdays

    Wednesday, October 6, 2010

Technically fifteen minutes into Wednesday... -_-

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
    • Grab your current read
    • Open to a random page
    • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
    • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
    • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
"Actually, I decided to skip the weapons." Picking up the other two kits, I brushed past him on my way up front. "If we meet any zombies, we'll pacify them with Hostess snack cakes."

From page 265 of Feed by Mira Grant.

Either there is an ongoing joke in the upper half of the world about the power of Hostess snack cakes to repel all sorts of things that go bump in the night, or Mira Grant listens to the Geek Survival Guide.

I've heard great things about Feed but I keep forgetting to get it from my library. Interestingly, I don't remember The Zombie Survival Guide saying anything about snack cakes :)

My teaser, from Terry Pratchett's I Shall Wear Midnight is @ Stuff & Nonsense.

I've seen zombies around way too much lately. All right, not in real life, but you know what I meant.

Sadly Hostess Snack Cakes would work on me. ;) Fun teaser. My TT:

@Lynn - I'm pretty sure that The Zombie Survival Guide didn't mention anything about snack cakes too. (But perhaps we should make the suggestion to Max Brooks?) I was referring to a wonderful, quirky podcast by Zach Ricks that I highly recommend and have actually previously reviewed.
